Transformers ROTF Autobot Smokescreen

Posted in Revenge of the Fallen, Updates by Jason on June 3, 2009

Smokescreen is your basic Hasbro repaint of Jazz. He’s the same mold as the Jazz figure from the first line of toys. Thing is, I really like him! Always loved the Autobot cars, and this is no exception. I think it brings out the mold more with these colors as well. Not even sure if Smokescreen is in the movie? Well, none the less… here he is:

Transformers ROTF Decepticon Rampage

Constructicons… always loved them in the Transformers Universe. With Revenge of the Fallen, it will be no different. Even though they are different colors, designs, etc. I still dig them. Anyway, I picked up Rampage (Deluxe class) and I’m really liking how he turned out. He’s a triple changer… his vehicle mode is a tractor/earth mover type of construction vehicle, his other mode is a jackhammer (kinda), and his robot mode is a four legged bad ass Decepticon. One thing for sure… this is not a guy I want to transform too many times. It’s a bitch when it comes to transforming him.

Transformers ROTF Decepticon Deep Desert Brawl

Posted in Revenge of the Fallen, Updates by Jason on May 30, 2009

I picked up Deep Desert Brawl from the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen toyline the other night. It’s the deluxe class version of the tank that we see in the first film, and is a repaint of the same deluxe class Brawl that we got from the first film’s toyline. Overall, I love the figure. I have a soft spot in the ol’ heart for Decepticon tanks (Blitzwing is one of my most favorite tank designs ever), so keep in mind that it wasn’t hard for me to like this guy. Tank mode is impressive, but the figure really shines in robot mode. It sports a great “desert camo” design, and has a rather menacing look to it. I have no doubt that they’ll make a leader class size of Brawl again for this movie, so we’ll see how this little guy holds up to a larger version later on down the road.

Welp, if you’ve read my other blog, you’d now that I collect a lot of Transformers and Gundam kits. So, since my other blog is devoted to all types of collectibles, I’ve decided to start this blog which will be strictly about Transformers and Gundam (hence my creative blog title). So, each Transformer or Gundam kit that I acquire will go in here! I’ll also be posting progress shots of any Gundam kit buildups, and techniques that I use. So, stay tuned.
